Amusement parks to be developed in Sofia's largest green parks
Soifa's chief architect Petar Dikov has been planning to improve the capital's four large parks – Borisova Gradina, South Park, West Park and North Park, close to Soifa's Central Station – for several years now. Construction and remodeling has already started in Borisova Gradina, where the Ariana lake is being revived to offer various water attractions, bars and restaurants.
The West Park, currently consider the leats attractive in Sofia, is also poised to be revamped. Municipal councilors will discuss the most interesting investment proposals for the construction of an aquapark in the West Park. It is still unclear whether the future investor will acquire the plot through public tender, a competition, or by a Municipality Council vote.
Reconstruction and improvements in Sofia's South and North Park haven't been discussed yet, Sofia's Mayor Boiko Borisov told Standart Daily.
