Bansko municipal councillors have opposed the lack of information in the Municipalities of Bansko and Razlog, regarding the implementation of Natura 2000 program, Radio Focus-Pirin informs.

In a special declaration sent to the senior state institutions, the local parliamentarians express their protest against the project of the ecological network.

“Concerning the measures and efforts made for preserving the environment and biological balance in Bulgaria, we declare our readiness for an immediate social dialog on establishing clear and relevant criteria to determine the areas protected under the “Local plan for the development of Bansko municipality 2007-2013”.

“We firmly believe that Bulgarian institutions and bodies in charge will treat the issue with the necessary concern so that an optimal and balanced solution to the problem is found,” the declaration reads.
