Bansko tipped to become skiing holiday hotspot
The latest boom in investment in Bulgaria has set Bansko up to become the hottest new ski vacation spot in that country and possibly Europe, new data reveals.
The eighth most popular destination in weekly searches on HolidayWatchdog.com, Bansko is situated in the Pirin mountain range and boasts skiing well into spring alongside Gondola lifts and good runs for all abilities.
Amenities in Bansko are rich, the culture is fascinating and the food is delicious according to property investment and developers at Westhill Investments.
"We're not just about selling our properties, we want to promote Bulgaria as a holiday destination," said Westhill director Domenic Hicks.
They recommend the area as the next best thing for the growth potential and new accessibility as an emerging European nation.
"Too many people buy a holiday home, because they like an area, without doing the maths, thinking they will get free holidays and have a money making asset," Mr Hicks explained
The Knight Frank global house price index has recently confirmed the potential for capital growth in a Bansko investment property: end of September figures pinned Bulgaria as having the second-fastest growth in the world at 19 per cent.
