COASTAL RESORTS IN BULGARIA EXPECT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF SCANDINAVIAN TOURISTS
COASTAL RESORTS IN BULGARIA EXPECT INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF SCANDINAVIAN TOURISTS
Sunny Beach coastal resorts expects to see higher number of Scandinavian visitors in 2007. Interest in Bulgaria as a summer tourism destination has increased, head of the union of owners in the resort Elena Ivanova said. The union presented itself for the first time at tourism fairs in Norway and Denmark, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Increased interest could have been expected as over the past year the number of Scandinavian visits increased noticeably, Ivanova said.
During a meeting with diplomats from Scandinavian countries Sunny Beach representatives discussed the development of an advertising strategy.
Sunny Beach will be presented as a separate brand during fairs in Prague, Berlin, Moscow and Bucharest, Ivanova said.
Ivanova said that the number of Romanian visitors has also increased. The number of visitors from the country noted a first major increase in 2006.
