Day of 13 Immortal Bulgarians

Memorial service for thirteen immortal Bulgarians will be held today in the cathedral of Varna.

Later in the Military club Vaklush Tolev will deliver his lecture. 13 years he proclaims the idea of a Day and Home-sancturay of 13 immortal Bulgarians. Vaklush Tolev proposes the date 28 August, which is the day of King Boris III's death to be the day of 13 immortals.

Side by side to the last Bulgarian king are Khan Asparuh - the Founder, Prince Boris – Christianizer, King Simeon – Enlightener, St. Kliment Ohridski – Alphabeter, St. Yoan Rilski – Protector, St. Patriarch Evtimii – Mystic and Soldier, Father Paisii – Awakener, Vassil Levski – Icon of Bulgarian freedom, Grand-mother Tonka – Mother of fearlessness, Prince Alexander Batenberg – Unifier, Pencho Slaveykov – the Epiphany of Bulgarian genius, Vanche Mihaylov – Soldier of injured Bulgarians.

Memorial services will be held also in Sofia, Plovdiv, Dobrich, Veliko Tarnovo, Shoumen, Bourgas, Stara Zagora, Haskovo and Vidin.
