Eu Citizens Use Free Emergency Aid In Bulgaria

Emergency centres of regional hospitals in coastal resorts will treat EU citizens free of charge if they have health insurance, Health Minister Radoslav Gaidarski said.

The emergency centres were opened at the beginning of June 2007, Focus news agency said.
Gaidarski inspected two of the five emergency centres in Golden Sands resort. He noticed insignificant irregularities, such as the lack of price lists and information signs.

Nearly 800 EU citizens have been treated at the coastal emergency centres since the beginning of the summer season 2007.

None had complained about medical treatment in Bulgaria, Focus said.
