NUMBER OF MALLS IN BULGARIA GROW
The number of shopping centres outside Sofia is on the rise, Index Imoti reported.
Five such projects have already sprung up in Varna, one of which is under construction.
Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Rousse, Vidin and Bansko are also planned for their first shopping malls.
In Sofia, retail space in shopping centres rent for 25-55 euro per sq m. In Varna they cost 20-60 euro per sq m, and 9-50 euro per sq m is the monthly price in Plovdiv.
The price of commercial space on the most expensive part of Varna's high street, Kniaz Boris I Street, 100-140 euro per sq m.
Kniaz Boris I is the most expensive street address after Sofia’s Vitosha Blvd.
The top prices levels in Sofia's centre are 80-130 euro per sq m. In Sofia’s popular Patriarh Evtimii Blvd, the rent for a 60 sq m shop is 117 euro per sq m. Rent for a 64 sq m premises on Hristo Botev Blvd is 78 euro per sq m. Almost twice smaller shop on St. Nedelya square in the centre is offered for 127 euro per sq m.
In the centre of Plovdiv, rental prices can reach up to 100 euro per sq m per month. Prices in Bourgas are almost half, at 56 euro per sq m in central areas.
Sales prices in the centre of Sofia start from 4200 euro per sq m and can go up to 21 000 euro per sq m in the most expensive zone on Vitosha Blvd. A 30 sq m shop there has been offered for 20 000 euro per sq m.
Other expensive boulevards with sale prices of 7000-8000 euro per sq m are Patriarh Evtimii and Madrid.
Shops in retail centres under construction on Bulgaria Blvd or on Alexander Malinov Blvd in Mladost neighbourhood could be bought for 3 000-4 000 euro per sq m.
In Varna's central area, prices are 2 000-10 000 euro per sq m. Sale prices on Plovidv’s high street start from 1 050 euro per sq m and could reach as high as 6 320 euro per sq m.
