Progress in Bulgarian Economy
Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP) in the first six months of 2007 grew with 6.4% compared to the same period last year, informed from National Statistics Institute.
Bulgaria's GDP in the first half stood at 24.47 billion BGN (12,3 billion EUR).
It is marked 9.1% expansion of industry and 8.8% increase in the sector of services over the first six months of 2006.
According to the institute's data, GDP per head in the first quarter was 3,179 BGN (1,600 EUR).
Bulgaria's economy grew by 6.1% last year, and the government has planed 5.8 % growth for 2007.
