Russians Mad About Bulgarian Wines

Russian National Association of Alcoholic drinks reported that Bulgarian wines are on 1stplace in sales in Russia, informed the Standart daily.
The import of local wines and other alcoholic drinks increased with 70% in the first 7 months of 2007, compared to the same period last year.

Bulgarian production removed Moldova from the imported wine market, announced Russian media. Bulgarian wines hold between 25-27% of the Russian market.

Bulgarian wines are at reasonable prices and that make them preferable among the Russian consumers. Second place is taken by French wines but on higher price, followed by the Spanish wines.

One bottle of Bulgarian wines costs round $ 4-4,5.

The wine export form almost 75% of the Bulgarian exports to the Russian Federation, Standart told.
